What Is Snohomish County Known For?

Snohomish County is probably best  known for being where the Boeing Aerospace/Manufacturing plant is located at Paine Field in Everett, WA. The Assembly Plant being the largest building by volume in the world. Other large employers in the area; Providence Regional Medical Center, Tulalip Tribes & Naval Station Everett.

Snohomish County cities: Everett*, Mill Creek, Snohomish, Lynnwood, Bothell, Marysville, Lake Stevens, Edmonds, Arlington, Kenmore, Mukilteo, Stanwood, Granite Falls, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Darrington, Gold Bar, Sultan, Woodway are the main cities. 

*Everett is the County seat and the largest city in Snohomish County.

Snohomish River

Snohomish County was founded in 1861 and was named after the dominant tribe at the time; the Snohomish tribe.   Population in Snohomish County was estimated at 844,761 as of 2023. The fastest growing area of Snohomish County is South County; Bothell, Mill Creek, Snohomish. All located close to Seattle/Bellevue.
